Browns WR had bullets in car, too

-

Browns rookie receiver Antonio Callaway had bullets and gun parts in his car when he was pulled over by police early Sunday morning.

Callaway was cited for marijuana possession and driving with a suspended license after being stopped by Strongsville, Ohio police for failing to yield to oncoming traffic.

Dash-camera video obtained by TMZ shows an officer asking Callaway to step out of his vehicle after the officer smells marijuana following a routine traffic stop. Callaway cooperates, and later one officer tells his partner that he became “real nervous” when he found the bullets and a strap for a Glock handgun in the vehicle.

The officer asks Callaway about the gun and the fourth-round pick says he has one but it’s in Florida.

Callaway traveled with the team for Thursday’s exhibition opener against the Giants.

This and that

Rams general manager Les Snead said that the team is in the ‘‘same ZIP code, area code, ballpark’’ in negotiations with holdout Aaron Donald. The defensive player of the year is slated to make $6.9 million in the final year of his rookie contract. He held out last season too, reporting the day before the season opener.

♦ The Raiders have asked Pro Bowl left tackle Donald Penn to take a pay cut. Penn, on the physically unable-to-perform list after injuring his right foot in Week 16 last season, is in the first year of a two-year, $21 million extension that he signed last season. The team drafted UCLA left tackle Kolton Miller with the 15th overall pick.

♦ The Panthers signed lineman Tyler Larsen to a two-year extension worth a reported $4.4 million.

♦ The Jets reportedly will listen to offers for quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. The team also has Josh McCown and first-round pick Sam Darnold on its roster.
