HOROSCOPES: SEPTEMBER 10, 2018

- GEORGIA NICOLS

MOON ALERT: Avoid shopping or important decisions from 10 to 10:45 a.m. After that, the moon moves from Virgo into Libra.

IF TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY: Actor Colin Firth (1960) shares your birthday today. You are warm, kind and reliable. You are also determined and independent. This year it’s time to live life fully! This is because you are entering a fun-loving, social year. Begin by appreciating the happiness and beauty around you. Be grateful for who you are and what you have. Count on enjoying the blessing of heightened popularity and warm friendships you this year.

Aries (March 21-April 19): You begin this week feeling confident and, dare we say, cocky? (We did.) However, think twice before you throw your weight around because later in the day, difficulties with bosses, parents and authority figures could arise. Tread carefully.

Taurus (April 20-May 20): Initially, you’re gung-ho about health issues, a pet, or how you want to apply yourself at work. But just when you start to work up some steam, someone blocks you. (Whaaat?) Or perhaps you encounter rules or regulations that shut you down. It’s frustrating.

Gemini (May 21-June 20): It’s a playful day and you’re eager for fun. You might encounter some difficulties, perhaps obligations with children or difficulties in dealing with red-tape details regarding vacations and social occasions. No worries. You can handle this.

Cancer (June 21-July 22): This is a busy week full of short trips, errands, tasks, meetings and increased reading and writing. Today, a conversation with a female family member is initially invigorating; however, a partner or someone older might put the kibosh on things. (Splat!)

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22): Basically, this is a good day to start your week. You feel energized communicating to others and eager to get things done. Nevertheless, you will encounter an obstacle that is work-related or health-related or even something to do with a pet. But this is minor. No biggie.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): This is a powerful week because the sun and Mercury are both in your sign. “Virgos rule!” Today you’re focused on financial matters, cash flow, money and possible purchases. (Check Moon Alert above.) Issues will blow hot and cold. First they look great — then not so much.

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): Today the moon moves into your sign, which energizes you and boosts your luck in any way you wish. You will want to make improvements at home or in your private world. Admittedly, someone older or in a position of authority might squash your plans. Nevertheless, this won’t hold you back.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21): Although this is a popular week for you, especially with younger people, today you might want to keep a low profile. “It was Monday. It was Monday all day.” Very likely, something will happen that makes you feel cut off from others and a bit lonely. (It happens.)

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21): Others will admire you this week, especially parents, bosses and the police. Today an interaction with a female acquaintance or a friend will be significant. However, what starts out looking positive might put you off. Life is up and down — ain’t it the truth?

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): Grab every chance to travel this week if it comes your way. Ditto for getting further training or education because you want to expand your world! Take note that today people are talking about you and perhaps the personal details of your private life. Hmmm.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): This is an intense week for you. Nothing is casual right now. Everything matters. Many of you are involved with inheritances, shared wealth, jointly held property, taxes, debt and insurance. (All the fluffy stuff.) Today, however, you want to get outta Dodge. Steer clear of sensitive topics.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20): Remember that you need more sleep this week. Start your week today by taking care of loose details that have been hanging around cluttering up your life. I’m talking about red-tape stuff related to inheritances, taxes and debt. Just do it.
