Man, 73, found shot to death in Rogers Park

A 73-year-old man was found shot to death Sunday morning in the Rogers Park neighborhood on the North Side. He was found with a gunshot wound to his head at 10:07 a.m. in the 1400 block of West Sherwin, according to Chicago police. He may have been wounded during a robbery.

Female found shot to death on rocks near Montrose Beach

The body of a person who was shot in the head and killed was found Sunday morning near Montrose Beach in the North Side Uptown neighborhood, police said.

At 9:26 p.m., the female body was discovered on rocks near the lakefront in the 4700 bock of North Lawrence-Wilson Drive, according to Chicago police. She had suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

15-year-old boy wounded in Gresham drive-by shooting

A 15-year-old boy was wounded in a drive-by shooting Sunday afternoon in the South Side Gresham neighborhood.

The boy was sitting on a front porch about 1:15 p.m. in the 8800 block of South Laflin when a vehicle pulled up and the frontseat passenger started shooting, according to Chicago police.

He suffered a gunshot wound to his right arm and was rushed to Little Company of Mary Hospital in Evergreen Park, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

Couple shot at in Humboldt Park; woman seriously wounded

A woman who was driving her husband was shot and wounded early Sunday in the Humboldt Park neighborhood. The 34-year-old woman was driving in the 1200 block of North Central Park Avenue at 4:50 a.m. when someone in a black SUV pulled up and opened fire, according to Chicago police. She was shot in her shoulder and grazed in her neck, police said. She was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition.

Man wounded in party shooting

A man was critically wounded early Sunday when shots rang out at a party in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side. About 4:50 a.m., the 20-year-old was at a gathering in the 1200 block of West 48th Street when someone opened fire from an alley, Chicago police said. The man was shot in the head and back and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition, according to police. He did not appear to be the target, a police source said.
