GRADING THE BEARS

- Allen Robinson’s 14-yard TD catch from Mitch Trubisky put the Bears up by 14 points. BY MARK POTASH

QUARTERBACK

A+ Mitch Trubisky (19-of26, 354 yards, 6 TDs, 0 INT, 154.7. rating) had the best game of his career — utilizing all his weapons from the start and throwing the first 5 TDs to five receivers. Also had a 23-yard run to set up the 39-yard TD to Trey Burton and scrambled for 26 yards to set up the fifth TD, to Taylor Gabriel. RUNNING BACKS

B Between Jordan Howard (11 carries, 25 yards, 2.3 avg.) and Tarik Cohen (13-53, 4.1), the Bears didn’t even need to establish a ground game to ignite the early rout. Cohen still made the biggest impact, with a 19-yard run on the second TD drive and seven receptions for 121 yards and a TD.

RECEIVERS

A Taylor Gabriel (7 receptions, 104 yards, 2 TDs) made plays all over the field for the first 100-yard game of his five-year career. Burton (2-86, 1 TD) caught a 39-yard TD and was wide open for a 47-yard pass play. Allen Robinson made a nifty catch in the end zone for a 14-yard TD. Kevin White had a nice block on 31-yard play to Cohen. OFFENSIVE LINE

A

Solid from the start, when C Cody Whitehair’s big push paved the way for Trubisky to convert a third-and-one sneak on the first series. Charles Leno allowed a sack, but the line otherwise gave Trubisky plenty of time. Rookie James Daniels, who alternated with Eric Kush at RG, had a key block on Cohen’s 19-yard run. DEFENSIVE LINE

A

Akiem Hicks sacked Ryan Fitzpatrick for an 8-yard loss on the Bucs’ second series. He was DQ’d for pushing a referee in the second quarter. Roy Robertson-Harris (half-sack, QB pressure), Bilal Nichols (half-sack, TFL) and Jonathan Bullard (TFL) all made plays. LINEBACKERS

A

Khalil Mack (four tackles) continued his stellar play with a sack and forced fumble — the fourth consecutive game with both — and a QB hit that led to Danny Trevathan’s INT. His stuff on the Bucs’ second play helped set the tone. Leonard Floyd tipped a pass. Aaron Lynch had a sack and interception. Rookie Roquan Smith (four tackles) had a TFL. SECONDARY

A

Bryce Callahan (four tackles) helped set the tone early with tackle for no gain on a bubble screen on the Bucs’ first play. Eddie Jackson stepped in front of Mike Evans for an INT and also had a QB hit. With plenty of help, rookie Kevin Toliver (7 tackles) acquitted himself well in his first NFL start, even though he was beaten for a 42-yard pass to DeSean Jackson.

SPECIAL TEAMS

A

Cody Parkey kicked a 50-yard FG at the firsthalf horn and also made a 46-yarder He and was 6-for-6 on PATs. Sherrick McManis had the only two specialteams tackles. Pat O’Donnell averaged 47.0 net yards on two punts. Ben Braunecker had an illegal block penalty.

COACHING

A Matt Nagy’s Bears were well-prepared in all three phases and played complementary football to win in a rout. Well-designed offense had Bucs’ 31stranked defense out of position, leaving wide-open receivers. Vic Fangio’s defense rarely let down and never let up vs. Bucs’ No. 1 offense.
