Cowboys stifle Brees, Saints, win 4th in row
Dak Prescott completed 24 of 28 passes for 248 yards and a touchdown, and the Cowboys stymied the visiting Saints’ high-flying offense on their way to a 13-10 victory on ‘‘Thursday Night Football.’’ The loss ended the Saints’ 10-game winning streak.
Prescott threw a 16-yard touchdown pass to Ezekiel Elliott in the first quarter and Brett Maher kicked two field goals for the Cowboys (7-5), who won their fourth consecutive game and moved into sole possession of first place in the NFC East.
Drew Brees threw a 30-yard touchdown pass to Keith Kirkwood — giving him 30 touchdown passes for the 10th time in his career — for the Saints (10-2), but he was limited to 127 yards passing and was intercepted with 2:08 left.
Flacco back at practice
Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco returned to practice for the first time since suffering an injury to his right hip Nov. 4.
Rookie Lamar Jackson has led the Ravens to victories in the last two games while filling in for Flacco. Although coach John Harbaugh hasn’t named a starting quarterback for the team’s road game Sunday against the Falcons, it appears likely Jackson will get the call.
Jets iffy at quarterback
Jets quarterbacks Sam Darnold (strained right foot) and Josh McCown (sore right hand, sore back) were limited at practice for the second consecutive day, leaving it uncertain who will be under center for the team’s road game Sunday against the Titans.
Pack WR Cobb practices again
Packers receiver Randall Cobb practiced for the second consecutive day as the team prepared to host the Cardinals on Sunday. Cobb has been limited to five games this season because of a lingering hamstring injury.
