Stars breeze past Wolves
Erik Condra had five points and Travis Morin and Nicholas Caamano each scored twice for the Texas Stars, who beat the Wolves 7-4 on Sunday at Allstate Arena.
Dylan Coghlan, Brandon Pirri and Reid Duke each scored a power-play goal for the Wolves (10-9-2-1), and Matthew Weis scored the first goal of his professional career. But it wasn’t nearly enough.
“If you were to look at any bright spot, the power play did a good job, for sure,” sad Wolves coach Rocky Thompson said. “But the rest of the game ... we’ve got to get back to the drawing board.”

Rahm ends year with easy victory
Jon Rahm turned a potential shootout into a Bahamas breeze, closing with a 7-under 65 for a four-shot victory in the Hero World Challenge.
Starting the final round in a three-way tie with Tony Finau and Henrik Stenson, Rahm took the lead when Finau made bogey on the par-3 eighth hole, and the 24-year-old Spaniard never trailed the rest of the day at Albany Golf Club in Nassau.
Rahm ends his year with three victories, just like in 2017, his first full year as a pro. In some respects, it was a fitting end.
Justin Rose closed with a 65 and finished alone in second.
♦ American Kurt Kitayama won his first European Tour title in only his third start by closing with a 4-under 68 for a twoshot victory in the AfrAsia Bank Muritius Open in Beau Champ, Mauritius.
