Eagles’ Jeffery (foot) out for rest of season

Eagles receiver Alshon Jeffery will miss the rest of the season with a “significan­t” foot injury, a source confirmed to ESPN.

Jeffery was taken to the locker room on a cart during the second quarter of Monday’s 23-17 win over the Giants. He was not contacted on the play, but left the field limping entering the medical tent.

With Nelson Agholor still dealing with a knee injury, the Eagles are expected to make a move at receiver in the near future.

Also, right tackle Lane Johnson is “weekto-week” with an ankle injury.

Ravens quarterbac­k Lamar Jackson said he will play Thursday night despite being limited the last two practices with a quad injury.

Belichick unaware of filming

Patriots coach Bill Belichick says neither he nor his coaching staff has watched any video footage shot by an in-house production team now at the center of an NFL investigat­ion for inappropri­ately filming the Bengals’ sideline during the Bengals-Browns game Sunday in Cleveland. Belichick said he was not involved and had no knowledge of what took place.

Cap could top $200 million

The NFL salary cap for 2020 is projected to be in the range of $196.8 million to $201.2 million, making it likely for the cap to have an increase of at least $10 million for the seventh consecutiv­e year. The 2019 salary cap is at $188.2 million. If the cap tops $200 million for the first time, it will have grown by roughly 40 percent since 2015, when it was at $143.3 million.

Shurmur holds off naming starting QB

Coach Pat Shurmur said he wants to see how rookie Daniel Jones’ sprained right ankle fares in practice Wednesday before considerin­g whether to use the rookie against the Dolphins. Shurmur added if Jones is not ready, Eli Manning will start again.
