CBs accused of armed robbery
Police in South Florida are trying to find Giants cornerback DeAndre Baker and Seahawks cornerback Quinton Dunbar after multiple witnesses accused them of an armed robbery at a party Wednesday night.
Miramar police issued arrest warrants for both men Thursday on four counts each of armed robbery with a firearm. Baker faces an additional four counts of aggravated assault with a firearm. The residential community is located between Fort Lauderdale and Miami.
Baker, 22, and Dunbar, 27, were attending a cookout at a Miramar home when a fight broke out, and Baker pulled out a handgun, the warrant said. Baker, Dunbar and two other men began robbing other people at the party of thousands of dollars in cash, watches and other valuables, witnesses told investigators. Police said the four men then fled the home in three vehicles.
Baker was a first-round pick of the Giants in 2019. The Seahawks acquired Dunbar in a March trade with the Redskins. Both players are from Miami.
Dickerson: Unis make Rams look ‘soft’
Rams great Eric Dickerson ripped the team’s new uniforms during a radio interview with AM 570 LA Sports. Among his comments, he said that the horns on the helmet look like “two bananas” and that the changes
make the team look “soft.”
Mayfield works out with teammates in Texas
Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield invited several of his teammates, including tight end David Njoku and receiver Rashard Higgins, to work out with him in Texas.
Like the rest of the league, the Browns haven’t been able to conduct any of their organized offseason program because of the virus outbreak.
Packers have backup fund if needed
The Packers have $385 million in their reserve fund in case they need it. Without an owner with deep pockets, the team established the savings account to ensure they could cover expenses for one year in case revenue dried up.
