Man wounded in drive-by on Dan Ryan near South Loop
A 24-year-old man was wounded Sunday in a drive-by shooting on Interstate 94 near the South Loop.
Illinois State police were notified of a man who walked into a hospital claiming to have been shot on the Dan Ryan near Roosevelt Road, Illinois State Police said. He had nonlife-threatening injuries.
An investigation found that about 2:15 a.m., he was the passenger of a vehicle driving south on I-94 at Roosevelt Road, when shots were fired from a passing vehicle, state police said. The driver and two additional passengers in the vehicle were not injured.
About 4:05 a.m. the southbound lanes of I-94 at Roosevelt Road were shut down for an investigation, state police said. All lanes were reopened about 5:45 a.m.
The circumstances of the shooting remain under investigation, state police said.

Man hurt in hit-run on I-290
A 26-year-old man was injured Sunday in a hit-and-run on Interstate 290 near TriTaylor on the Near West Side.
About 3:30 a.m. he stopped to help a vehicle that was involved in a roll-over crash in the center lane of I-290 near Western Avenue, when he was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene, according to Illinois State police. The man, of Waukegan, was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, state police said.
About 3:30 a.m. the right two lanes of I-290 were closed for an investigation, state police said. All lanes were re-opened about 20 minutes later.
