31 MLB players record positive tests
Thirty-one Major League Baseball players and seven staff members tested positive for COVID-19 during intake for the resumption of training, a rate of 1.2 percent. MLB and the MLB Players Association announced the results as teams resumed workouts for the first time since the coronavirus interrupted spring training March 12.

Series champion Jimmie Johnson, 44, has tested positive for the coronavirus, becoming the first driver in any NASCAR series to do so, and will miss the race Saturday at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
