Hamlin hangs on in Kansas City

After three straight finishes outside the top 10, Denny Hamlin held off charging Brad Keselowski at Kansas Speedway for his NASCAR Cup Series-leading fifth win of the season and 42nd overall. Hamlin hung around the front of the pack all night avoiding trouble, then breezed past Kevin Harvick for the lead in the closing laps.
