Vote-by-mail will work
Neither the new postmaster general nor the president of the United States can delay vote by mail applications or ballots. As a 23-year veteran letter carrier, I promise you that every piece of political mail, especially ballots, will be delivered on the day we receive them and will be picked up the day you place them in your mailbox.
We are taught, from Day One, the “sanctity of the mail.” The mail does not belong to us, it belongs to you, the customer. Neither the new postmaster general nor the president realize this. We will deliver for you. Do not fear vote-by-mail. It has worked for decades and will work this year.
The adage “Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night, stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds” applies, with additions: “nor politicians and inept CEOs.”
