Di­vac out as Kings’ GM; du­mars takes role

Sacra­mento Kings gen­eral man­ager Vlade Di­vac stepped down a day af­ter the team fin­ished 3-5 in the NBA seed­ing round and missed the post­sea­son for the 14th con­sec­u­tive year. Joe Du­mars was named in­terim ex­ec­u­tive vice pres­i­dent of basketball op­er­a­tions and will im­me­di­ately as­sume in­terim GM du­ties as well, ac­cord­ing to the team.

◆ Heat for­ward Der­rick Jones Jr. had to be carted off the court af­ter suf­fer­ing a neck strain af­ter fall­ing vi­o­lently to the floor in a col­li­sion with Pac­ers cen­ter Goga Bi­tadze in the third quar­ter of a 109-92 loss.

◆ The Nai­smith Memo­rial Basketball Hall of Fame en­shrine­ment cer­e­mony was moved to May 13-15, 2021.

◆ Magic cen­ter Mo Bamba left the bub­ble for test­ing re­lated to his pre­vi­ous bout with coro­n­avirus and will miss the play­offs.
