Madden Parker had help when he caught his personal-best northern pike of 39 inches this month on Vermilion Lake in Minnesota.

‘‘[He was] being coached on reeling this beauty in by his brother Matthew,’’ mom Carrie Parker emailed.

Madden, 13, and Matthew, 17, are from Orland Park.
