Chicago Sun-Times - - ENTERTAINMENT - GEORGIA NICOLS

MOON ALERT: Avoid shopping or making important decisions from 6:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. Chicago time. After that, the Moon moves from Sagittarius into Capricorn.

IF TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY: Actor Aaron Paul (1979) shares your birthday. You have excellent social skills. You are generous, disciplined and helpful to others. It’s your turn for a fun-loving year ahead! You will be more popular and will enjoy warm friendships. You will also be more grateful for your life and will appreciate the everyday happiness and beauty around you. This year is the time for an important choice.

Aries (March 21-April 19): Today you want to help a family member if they need assistance or support. You might lend a sympathetic ear if they need to talk to you. Some of you will be interested in redecorating at home in a rather lavish way. It’s a fuzzy, interesting day.

Taurus (April 20-May 20): Feelings of escapism are strong. Hey, we all need to get outta Dodge at times, and today you need a change of scenery. At the least, you will spend time daydreaming or being lost in a fantasy world. Relax and enjoy!

Gemini (May 21-June 20): Two separate influences are at play. The placement of the moon makes you focus on shared property, insurance matters and inheritances. But Venus makes you starry eyed and impractical about money issues. Could this be the Gemini twins at work?

Cancer (June 21-July 22): This is a gentle day and you feel a genuine concern for someone, which is why you will help and support someone. Furthermore, the moon is opposite your sign, means you have to accommodate and cooperate with others. You can do this.

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22): You have money on your mind, and you’re ready to work. However, something going on behind the scenes will grab your attention. Could this be that you are concerned for the welfare of someone who is less fortunate than you? (Many of us feel this way right now.)

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): You are strong now with the sun and Mercury in your sign, which means you can help a friend or a member of a group. You will probably do this because your idealism is aroused and you always feel better when you help others.

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): It’s interesting. Many of you are low key because you want to be or because you have a secret. Meanwhile, a romance with a boss or someone in authority is definitely taking place for many of you. Connect the dots! Or maybe you just have a crush on someone? (Crushes are exciting.)

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21): Because your idealism is aroused, you want to help someone in need, perhaps in another country or far away. If you can do this, this is wonderful. We all depend on the kindness of others, especially when we are young and again when we are old.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21):

Keep your pockets open today because people will be generous to you, especially if you ask for help. Either way, decisions that are made will tend to go in your favor. Furthermore, someone might let you use something that they own. Meanwhile, romance is tender and special.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): You don’t feel like working hard today. But you will be sympathetic to a friend or partner and be willing to listen to their concerns and their problems. Likewise, you might need a sympathetic ear to listen to your concerns as well. We all need loving support from each other.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): It might surprise you that someone at work will come to with their problems and you find yourself in the role of an amateur psychologist or counselor. You are very good in this role because you genuinely like people — and you’re smart.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20): Romance is the stuff of movies today. Soft lights, gentle music and the seduction of someone interesting or alluring. Well, this won’t happen for everyone. You might enjoy a movie or read a book to indulge your romantic desires. (Sigh.)
