PATS CANCEL PRACTICE AFTER POSITIVE TEST

-

The Patriots canceled practice and later put center James Ferentz on the reserve/ COVID-19 list. He became the fifth Patriots player to test positive for the virus. The team already twice had the original Week 5 matchup against the Broncos postponed after four positive tests by players. The game is scheduled for Sunday in Foxborough, Massachusetts, but could be in jeopardy.

The Colts had four positives that, when

retested, came up negative. The Falcons returned to their facility one day after abandoning it when they had a second positive.

Jimmy Garoppolo’s sprained right ankle felt much better this week in practice, making the 49ers confident their quarterback can bounce back from a rough performance that got him pulled at halftime.

NFL leading rusher Dalvin Cook will sit out the Vikings’ game Sunday against the Falcons with a groin injury.
