PREDICTIONS

-

The Chicago Sun-Times’ experts offer their picks for the Bears’ game Monday night against the Rams at new SoFi Stadium:

RICK MORRISSEY

Rams, 23-17: The Rams have a very good pass rush, and the Bears don’t have a very good offensive line, so you can see the problem here. The Bears are hoping that L.A. quarterback Jared Goff is still haunted by a 2018 game in which a Khalil Mack-led defense intercepted him four times. Season: 3-3.

RICK TELANDER

Rams, 22-21: The Bears have to hit the wall sometime, right? They can’t keep winning games by the hair on their chinny-chin-chin. California and smoke damage will get them this time. To be 6-1? Nice thought, but ... Season: 3-3.

PATRICK FINLEY

Rams, 24-15:

Brand-new SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, will be the 103rd park in which the Bears have played — and the fourth different place they’ve faced the Rams in the last four meetings. The Rams kick a field goal with two minutes left to go up two scores and seal the game. Season: 5-1.

JASON LIESER

Bears, 13-10: It’s great that these teams keep playing each other because they’re identical twins — well, not great for TV because Bears-Rams games are always a slog. Neither team has managed more than 17 points against the other the last two seasons. A low-scoring wrestling match favors the Bears. Season: 3-3.

MARK POTASH

Rams, 17-13: The Bears’ defense gives them a shot in what should be a third consecutive taffy pull, but it might have to score to pull that off unless the offense takes a big step. The Bears are 3-0 on the road this season. Season: 3-3.
