Tatum, Mitchell cash in

ESPN reported Celtics forward Jayson Tatum and Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell agreed to terms on identical five-year contract extensions Sunday that could be worth up to $195 million.

The deals include a 30% escalator clause that would turn their guaranteed $163 million base into $195 million should they be voted to one of the three All-NBA teams, sources said.

Tatum, 22, averaged 23.4 points and seven rebounds last season. Mitchell, 24, averaged 24 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4.3 assists.

† Multiple outlets reported the Hawks signed restricted free-agent guard Bogdan Bogdanovic to a four-year, $72 million offer sheet. The Kings have two days to match the offer. Bogdanovic, 28, averaged 15.1 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.4 assists last season.

† The Warriors, who lost guard Klay Thompson for the season to a torn Achilles tendon last week, acquired guard Kelly Oubre from the Thunder for a conditiona­l first-round draft pick and a second-round draft pick in 2021.

Baylor coach Drew has COVID-19

Baylor men’s basketball coach Scott Drew said he has tested positive for COVID-19, three days before the No. 2 Bears are scheduled to open the season Wednesday against No. 18 Arizona State. Drew said associate head coach Jerome Tang will direct the team while he recovers.

† Fourth-seeded Daniil Medvedev outlasted third-seeded Dominic Thiem 4-6, 7-6 (7-2), 6- 4 to win the season- ending ATP Finals in London. Medvedev became the first player to beat the players seeded first ( Novak Djokovic), second ( Rafael Nadal) and third in the event.

† Robert Streb made an eight-foot par putt on the first playoff hole to stay alive, then put his approach shot on the next hole inches away for a birdie that gave him a victory over Kevin Kisner in the RSM Classic in St. Simon’s Island, Georgia. Both finished 54 holes of regulation at 19-under-par 263.
