Stefanski out vs. Steelers

-

Browns coach Kevin Stefanski tested positive for COVID-19 and will miss the team’s first playoff game since 2002. Special teams coordinator Mike Priefer will be the acting head coach when the Browns visit the Steelers on Sunday for an AFC wild- card game.

Also, Pro Bowl left guard Joel Bitonio, wide receiver KhaDarel Hodge and two coaching staff members — tight ends coach Drew Petzing and defensive backs coach Jeff Howard — tested positive and will miss the game. Despite the Browns’ issues — they now have eight rotational players and five coaches on the COVID-19 list — league spokesman Brian McCarthy said the game is on schedule.

The team also received news that left tackle Jedrick Wills Jr. and receiver Rashard Higgins were cited for drag racing Tuesday.

“We are aware of the incident, will gather more information and handle this matter appropriately,” a team spokesman said.

Giants coordinator Graham staying put

Giants defensive coordinator Pat Graham signed a contract extension and will also take on the role as assistant head coach.
