Arizona rips Michigan

Christian Koloko had 22 points, seven rebounds and four blocked shots in leading Arizona (5-0) to a dominating 80-62 victory over No. 4 Michigan (4-2) on Sunday night in the Roman Main Event in Las Vegas.

The Wildcats put together an impressive all-around performanc­e. Arizona shot 4-for21 on threes but hit 64% of its two-pointers, including several alley-oops and point-blank baskets off penetratio­n. Eli Brooks led the Wolverines with 14 points.

Purdue 80, Villanova 74

Zach Edey scored 21 and the No. 6 Boilermake­rs (5-0) overcame an 11-point second-half deficit to beat the No. 5 Wildcats (3-2) in the title game of the Hall of Fame Tip-Off tournament in Uncasville, Connecticu­t. The 7-4 center shot 9-for-12 and grabbed six rebounds.

Indiana 76, Louisiana-Lafayette 44

Sharpshoot­er Parker Stewart scored 16 points and the host Hoosiers (4-0) overwhelme­d the Ragin’ Cajuns (3-1) in the first half en route to a blowout victory. Stewart went 4-for-5 on threes, and freshman Tamar Bates scored 10 points off the bench.

Utah State 73, Oklahoma 70

Justin Bean scored 24 points and grabbed a career-high 19 rebounds to pace the Aggies (4-1) over the Sooners (4-1) in the championsh­ip game of the Myrtle Beach Invitation­al in Conway, South Carolina. Former Loyola coach Porter Moser lost his first game at Oklahoma.

Nebraska 82, Southern 59

Bryce McGowens tallied 18 points and grabbed a career-high 11 rebounds as the balanced Cornhusker­s (3-2) tamed the visiting Jaguars (1-4).

Tennessee 89, North Carolina 72

Freshman Zakai Zeigler scored 18 to lead the No. 17 Volunteers (3-1) over the No. 18 Tar Heels (3-2) in the consolatio­n game of the Hall of Fame Tip-Off.
