Nitchev, Ira Beatrice

-

Ira Beatrice Nitchev, known to most as Bea, passed away on November 26, 2021. She was 69 years old. Born in St. Louis, Missouri on April 27, 1952, she moved with her family to Chicago, Illinois, at an early age and has called the Chicago area home ever since. She is the treasured mother of Julia Fischer, Joey Reyes, Jeffrey Daniel, Jeremy (Silver) Daniel, Joyce (Alex) Erazo, and the late Jason Reyes; the adored grandmother of ten and great grandmother of three; the loving sister of Linda (Tony) Tollinchi, Leonard (Jeanette) Ash, Phyllis Terpo, and the late Donna, Joyce, and Phillip Ash; and the “fun aunt” to many nieces, nephews and others. For many years, Bea worked as a banquet waitress at The Palmer House Hilton. Her hard work supported her family, and she made many close friends through her work. Over time, some of those friends came to be known as family. This was a frequent occurrence for her, as many of her children’s friends, her neighbors, and others through the years became part of her family. This was, in large part, due to her loving and giving nature. She was an extraordinary woman who lived life and loved life, and she will be missed dearly. Services will be Friday, December 3, 2021, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. to noon, a memorial service at noon, and interment immediately following the memorial service. Visitation and the memorial service will be at Hursen Funeral Home, located on the southwest corner of Roosevelt & Mannheim Roads in Hillside, Illinois; interment will be at Glen Oak/Oakridge Cemetery, which is adjacent to the funeral home.
