Hawks getting All-Star Murray

-

The Spurs are trading All-Star guard Dejounte Murray to the Hawks for Danilo Gallinari and three first-round picks, according to a person with direct knowledge of the terms of the deal.

The deal pairs Murray with another All-Star in Trae Young in the Hawks’ backcourt and is part of a flurry of activity that is expected to increase when NBA free agency officially opens Thursday.

† James Harden declined his $47 million option for next season with Philadelphia and became a free agent — but told the team he intends to stay on a new deal that will allow the 76ers the flexibility they need to sign other players, according to a person with direct knowledge of the situation.
