■ Royals: Rookie Jorge Lopez allowed a walk and a single to start the bottom of the ninth, ending his bid for a perfect game — and then a no-hitter — in a 4-1 win over the Twins. After retiring his first 24 batters, Lopez walked Max Kepler leading off the ninth. Robbie Grossman followed with a clean single, and Lopez was pulled after 110 pitches. He was acquired in the trade that sent Mike Moustakas to the Brewers.

■ Astros: Alex Bregman hit his 30th home run and the Astros beat the Red Sox 5-3 for their seventh straight win. Martin Maldonado also homered for AL West leaders, who have won the first two legs of the three-game rematch of last year’s ALDS.

■ A’s: Khris Davis hit his MLBleading 41st home run and Matt Olson hit his career-high 25th in an 8-6 win over the Rangers. The A’s have won five of six. At 86-57, they are 29 games over .500 for the first time since 2013.

■ Brewers: Gio Gonzalez allowed one unearned run on three hits in 52⁄3 innings in his Brewers debut, a 4-3 win over the Giants. Gonzalez struck out seven and walked one. Christian Yelich hit his 28th homer for the Brewers.

■ Tigers: Victor Reyes scored on a game-ending wild pitch in the ninth to beat the Cardinals 4-3. The Cards trailed 3-1 with two outs in the top of the ninth, but Marcell Ozuna’s two-run homer tied it. They’ve lost five of seven.

■ Mets: Noah Syndergaar­d left after he was hit by a line drive in the seventh inning of a 10-5 win over the Phillies. X-rays were negative on Syndergaar­d, who allowed a career-worst 12 hits and five walks. The Phillies have lost 16 of 25.

■ Indians: Roberto Perez homered and drove in four and Michael Brantley hit a two-run shot in a 9-8 win over the Blue Jays. All of Perez’s RBIs came in a seven-run fifth in which Jays pitchers issued five walks . ... LHP Andrew Miller, nursing a sore shoulder, threw 33 pitches off a mound and said he’s ready to pitch in a game . ... 3B Josh Donaldson is expected to be activated Tuesday.
