Springer, M.D., Harry A.

Harry A. Springer, M.D., D.D.S., 85, passed away peacefully at home on July 29. He was born in El Paso, Texas, the son of the late M.D. and Louise Springer. He received his undergrad degree at the University of Texas, El Paso. After attending Northwestern Dental School, he received his medical degree from the University of Texas, Southwestern and then completed his plastic surgery residency at Northwestern University Hospitals. He was on the medical staff at several north shore hospitals and served as President of both Chicago Medical Society and Illinois State Medical Society. He was a respected plastic surgeon and impacted the lives of many patients. Dr. Springer is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Mavis, his three sons, Dr. Michael (Yvonne) Springer, Steven (Cheri) Springer, and David Springer; daughter, Rhonda Levin and daughter-in-law, Angelique Rizzo Springer. He was the grandfather of Aden (Heather Campbell) Springer, Dena (Gil Park) Springer, Stephanie (Donovan) Laible, Matthew, Fayth and Hope Springer, and Mandy, Jeremy (Iona) and Mallory Levin, and was the proud great-grandfather of four. Dr. Springer was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Margo Louise Springer, and his sister Bettye Anna (Sidney) Louick. Funeral services will be held at
