„ Twins: Twins shortstop Carlos Correa was placed on the 10-day injured list Saturday, a day after sustaining an oblique injury in their 8-2 loss to the Tigers. Correa was hitting .306 with a homer and four RBIs in 11 games and had an .876 OPS.

„ Yankees: Juan Soto hit a three-run homer and Cody Poteet pitched six solid innings in his debut as the Yankees won 8-2 to sweep a doublehead­er on Saturday over the Guardians and continue one of the strongest starts in their storied history. The Yankees took the opener 3-2. The Yankees are 12-3 for the seventh time and first since 2003.

„ Rangers: Rangers reliever Brock Burke broke his non-throwing hand while punching a wall following a poor outing Friday night against the Astros.

„ Rockies: Rockies outfielder Kris Bryant left Saturday’s game at Toronto in the fourth inning because of a stiff back. A four-time All-Star and former NL MVP, Bryant crashed into the outfield wall after making a catch on Vladimir Guerrero Jr.’s deep drive in the first.

„ Blue Jays: Daulton Varsho hit his second career grand slam, Yariel Rodríguez struck out six over 3 ⅔ innings in his major league debut and the Blue Jays beat the Rockies 5-3 on Saturday.

„ Royals: Salvador Perez had four RBIs and Bobby Witt Jr. scored four times to lead the Royals to an 11-7 win over the Mets on Saturday.

„ Astros: Kyle Tucker doubled twice and had three RBIs and Jose Altuve added three hits and drove in two runs as the Astros used a seven-run seventh inning to break a tie and coast to a 9-2 victory over the Rangers on Saturday.

„ Marlins: Josh Bell homered, Max Meyer allowed one run over six innings, and the Marlins beat the Braves 5-1 on Saturday for their first home win of the season.

„ Phillies: Nick Castellano­s hit a walk-off, bases-loaded single in the ninth inning, Kyle Schwarber homered and the Phillies rallied to beat the Pirates 4-3 on Saturday.

„ Red Sox: Triston Casas hit a long two-run homer in a four-run first inning and the Red Sox cleaned up their season-long defensive problems in a 7-2 victory over the Angels on Saturday for their first home win of the season.

„ Nationals: MacKenzie Gore tied a career high with 11 strikeouts, CJ Abrams hit an RBI triple and the Nationals beat the Athletics 3-1 on Saturday.

„ Giants: Logan Webb allowed one run over seven innings, Thairo Estrada homered twice and the Giants cruised past the Rays 11-2 on Saturday.

„ Brewers: Jake Bauers hit a tiebreakin­g three-run homer in the fourth inning and the Brewers slugged their way to another victory, 11-5 over the Orioles on Saturday. The Brewers have scored 58 runs in their last six games.
