Phone-sized HP printer Sprocket weighs 172g
HPInc recently introduced a portable photograph printer called the Sprocket 100into the Chinese market. Weighing only 172 grams, the device has the size of a mobile phone, and can be easily put into a pocket. It is compatible with both iOS and Android. Downloading a freeHPSprocket app, users can customize their photos before sending them to print over Bluetooth. Besides printing normal photos, the product can alsomake virtual stickers. Priced from899 yuan ($130), the newprinter is available on China’s e-commerce giant JD.comin two colors, white and black.
Canon projector can display 3-D content
Japanese electronics giant Canon Inc launched a compact projector LV-X420 in China. Balancing image quality and versatility, the LV-X420 projector offers XGA (1024 x 768) resolution as well as 4,200 lumens. It has the DLP BrilliantColor system and a range of image quality adjustments, the capability to display 3-D content via a DLPLink System and a built-in highpowered 10-watt speaker. It is ideal for presentations in larger rooms and classrooms with its bright, clear images and good contrast.
Xiaomi’s new handsets target animation fans
Chinese smartphone vendor Xiaomi Corp’s new handset targets the country’s growing number of animation fans. Redmi Note 4X is a limited-edition device, and bears the picture of Hatsune Miku, a Japanese virtual pop star popular among Chinese males. The gadget, which comes in five colors in China, features a Snapdragon 625 processor and a 4,100mAh battery. Priced from 999 yuan ($145.10), it went on sale on Wednesday in China.
StikBox unveils iPhone case with selfie stick
Israeli startup StikBox has offered a solution for selfie enthusiasts who often forget to bring selfie sticks. The company unveiled an iPhone case that has a built-in selfie stick. The case holds a collapsed 28.3-inch selfie stick on its backside. When users need it, they can just pull the aluminum stick and shoot. But it is 1.5-cm thick, thicker than average smartphone cases. The gadget, priced $29, also features a kickstand mode which is perfect for video calls or watching videos in handsfree mode.
