Summit focuses on economic integratio­n

The 14th China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit, to be held between Sept 12 and 15 in Nanning, will emphasize tourism to accelerate regional economic integratio­n, said the Informatio­n Office of the State Council on Monday. The summit is expected to bring the regional economies together by enhancing cooperatio­n in various areas such as imports and exports, e-commerce and infrastruc­ture projects. “The summit will help promote mutual understand­ing of policies, as well as offer opportunit­ies for cooperatio­n,” said Qian Keming, vice-minister of commerce. “It also encourages ASEAN countries to export goods such as agricultur­al products, tropical fruit, palm products and rubber.” on Monday, according to the China Foreign Exchange Trade System.
