Opening ceremony of the High-Level Dialogue between Chinese-African Leaders and Business Communities and the 6th Conference of Chinese and African Entrepreneurs.

Sept 3 Afternoon

Xi will deliver a keynote speech at the opening ceremony of the summit, expounding China's new ideas on strengthening relations with Africa, and announcing new measures for China's cooperation with Africa.

Sept 3 Evening

Xi and his wife Peng Liyuan will host foreign delegates at a banquet.

Sept 4

Xi and South African President Cyril Ramaphosa will separately chair morning and afternoon discussions. Chinese and African leaders will exchange ideas on relations and international and regional issues.

Expected outcomes

1. Build a closer China-Africa community of a shared future. 2. Further dovetail China's Belt and Road Initiative with African development. 3. Set a new path for a higher level of China-Africa cooperation. 4. Deepen people-to-people exchanges.

Under the theme "China and Africa: Toward an Even Stronger Community With a Shared Future Through Win-Win Cooperation”, the 2018 Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation will be held on Sept 3-4.

President Xi Jinping will host the summit and relevant activities on the sidelines of the event.

Leaders of FOCAC members will attend the event, and representatives of regional organizations in Africa and international organizations will also participate.
