Here’s good news. It’s been reported former NBC anchor Tom Brokaw, 77, is returning to TV with a new show for Discovery. Tentatively titled Freedom of the Press, it will focus on the state of journalism — a topic he spoke about at Syracuse University’s Mirror Awards on June 13. “I don’t think there’s ever been any [time] over the course of my career that I remember the rules of the game being under such assault. We are seeing the most profound and pernicious threat to our profession and democracy. That threat is fake news.”
