Young at Heart
Diane was seeing double when she received her AFI Life Achievement Award in LA on June 8. “It’s a lot of Diane — it’s kind of surreal,” she joked of the retrospective ceremony. “I feel like it’s the retirement party I never had!” Retiring, however, is the furthest thing from the Oscar winner’s mind. With her HBO series The Young Pope and upcoming films like Book Club and Hampstead, the 71-year-old star has been busier than ever! “I never understood the idea that you’re supposed to mellow as you get older,” she says. “Slowing down isn’t something I relate to at all!”
