YOUNGER IN SECONDS

These ladies seem to be growing younger every year! Closer asked top pros why

Wendie Malick’s big secret to honey-toned hair, made simple.

Patricia Clarkson Golden Hues Illuminate Eyes

The Emmy-winning actress erased decades from her look by simply swapping a pewter eye shadow for a glistening gold instead. “Dark shimmer creates shadows that make eyes look heavy and skin look pallid in comparison, plus one in powder form settles into creases, emphasizing wrinkles,” says makeup artist Julia Dalton-Brush, who has worked with Marilu Henner and Lisa Loeb. “Cream-based golds reflect light to brighten eyes, complement the complexion’s warm undertones and add a subtle sheen that blurs fine lines.” Her tip for youthful eyes like Patricia’s now? Use an angled shadow brush to sweep a cream shadow (we like Revlon ColorStay

Crème Eye Shadow in Crème Brulee, $7, target.com) across the lid and along the lower lash line.

Wendie Malick Honey Highlights Restore Shine

The Just Shoot Me! alum always stuns, but last year, zebralike stripes sapped her strands’ sparkle. “Over-bleached streaks don’t reflect light, leaving hair looking flat and dull,” says colorist Rick Wellman, who has worked with Tina Fey and Brooke Shields. But when light hits soft, honey-toned highlights, like Wendie has now, it bounces off the warm color so locks look shiny and lustrous. And using a golden-blond dye (like Clairol Natural Instincts in #8G/4-Medium Golden Blonde, $7, target.com) to create the highlights will lighten locks without the drying effects of bleach. To do: Use a clean mascara wand to brush color onto half-inch sections of hair. Let sit 10 minutes; rinse.

Mary-Louise Parker This Combo Erases Crow’s-Feet

Deeply etched eye wrinkles caused the Weeds star to appear older at 51 than she does at 53! “Squinting, exposure to outside allergens and the breakdown of collagen as we age all lead to lines forming on the thin skin surrounding the eye,” says dermatologist Kenneth Mark, M.D., who treats celebrities in his New York City office. For crease-free eyes like Mary-Louise’s now, he suggests an eye cream containing peptides and hyaluronic acid (we like Olay Eyes Deep Hydrating Eye Gel, $25, target.com). Peptides are proteins that stimulate collagen production to repair lines and hyaluronic acid hydrates deeply, plumping skin to “fill” those lines in. Simply massage a pea-sized amount of gel around the eyes at night for smoother skin in four weeks.
