Sterling K. Brown had one goal in mind when he pursued an acting career. “I remember graduating from NYU wondering if I’d ever be able to pay back the enormous amounts of loans,” Sterling, 41, told Closer recently at the Season 2 premiere of his hit NBC drama, This Is Us. That all changed after he landed a starring role on Lifetime’s Army Wives in 2007. “I spent six-anda-half years on Army Wives. And I remember the day I was looking at my savings and realized I could pay off my student loans,” he shared with a smile. “That was probably one of the greatest days of my career!”
