THE TWINS TELL ALL!

THE PROPERTY BROTHERS OPEN UP ABOUT THEIR NEW SHOW, DREW’S BACHELOR PARTY, WHY THE WHOLE FAMILY IS GOING ON THE HONEYMOON AND MORE

When Drew and Jonathan Scott headed to San Francisco for the new season of HGTV’s Brother vs. Brother, both were in it to win it. “Jonathan got a camouflage outfit with moss on it, and he hid on a hill to spy on me,” Drew tells Closer of the competition show, which has each twin captaining a team on a home renovation. Drew had a few tricks up his sleeve, too, dressing up like a policeman and distracting Jonathan’s squad with a flurry of fake tickets. “We all flew out to move our vehicles,” Jonathan says with a laugh. “He had a fake mustache and everything! We were, like, ‘How does he have time to be doing this?’ ”

The brothers, 40, are masters at multitasking, though, proven by Drew’s ability to film this show while also banging out all the details of his destination wedding with Linda Phan, 33, in Italy this month. “We were very hands-on with the planning, but we’re not a bridezilla and groomzilla,” Drew promises. “We just have creative minds and we get things done. The biggest thing for us is just spending time with family and friends.”

PARTY PEOPLE

Drew and Linda’s weeklong festivities will cap off a fairy-tale romance that ignited in 2010. “I was always careerfocused, pushing to achieve my goals,” Drew says. “When I didn’t expect it, I fell for someone, and now I’m the luckiest guy ever because I get to have Linda for the rest of my life.”

Their last hurrahs as singles will symbolize how much the two mean to one other. “The one restriction we put on the bachelor and bachelorette parties,” Drew says, “is that at the end of the day, both parties will end up together for a big celebration.” That still leaves plenty of opportunity for fun. “[Our older brother] J.D. and I are cobest men,” Jonathan explains, “and we’re planning the bachelor party. It’ll be a wild and crazy event — but we’re not giving Drew any details!”

Viewers will be able to see all that went down, though, when a special titled Drew and Linda Say I Do airs on TLC in June. By then, the brothers will be back home, tending to their booming product lines and various TV ventures. “We have a great business and working relationship,” Jonathan says. “We have a no b.s. policy. If something’s bothering us, we talk it out early so it doesn’t turn into more.”

And even though Jonathan and the whole Scott family will tag along in August for Drew and Linda’s “charity awareness” honeymoon to Ecuador for WE (“an organization that helps build communities and educate small towns,” Drew says), the brothers promise they allow each other plenty of space. “It’s not like Drew and I still live in bunk beds,” Jonathan jokes.

That’s a good thing, since Drew and Linda can’t wait to start their own family. “I want 16 kids,” Drew quips, before settling on a more realistic goal of three. Fans shouldn’t worry, however, that a growing family will limit his projects with Jonathan in the future. “We love inspiring people, and we love filming our shows,” Drew says, “so you’re going to get sick of us. We’ll be around forever!”

“We’re young at heart — and we’ll always be that way.” — Drew
