Fishing is the catch of the day for Tom Colicchio. At NYC’s recent Red Dress Awards, the Top Chef judge told Closer that any day with a rod and reel is a good one. “My grandfather taught me how to fish, so every time I go fishing, I always think of [him], number one. And number two, for me just getting away and getting out and being in the water and the environment where my phone is not ringing [makes me] kind of focused,” he said. “[It’s] not even so much on fishing, because it doesn’t matter if you catch fish or not — it’s just that you are in a different environment.”
