Mi­randa Lam­bert sang the praises of res­cu­ing pets at this year’s CMA Fest.

Just like mu­sic, an­i­mals have al­ways been a part of my life,” Mi­randa Lam­bert notes of be­ing a long­time pet-res­cue ad­vo­cate. “They add such warmth to a home and I can’t imag­ine liv­ing with­out them.” In fact, the young coun­try singer, 34, is so ded­i­cated to the cause that she and her pet Chi­huahua, Cher, were the faces of her Mut­tNa­tion Foun­da­tion’s adop­tion event at this year’s CMA Fest in Nashville. “It’s the world’s best feel­ing when you make the per­fect match be­tween a res­cue and a new owner, know­ing it’s cre­at­ing such an in­cred­i­ble bond,” gushes Mi­randa. “It just fills my heart with hap­pi­ness to be part of some­thing so spe­cial.”
