She Wasn’t Sad to Kiss Today Goodbye
SHE LOST her co-anchoring gig on Today when NBC replaced her with Megyn Kelly, but don’t cry for Tamron Hall. “They use the phrase ‘infotainment,’” she told Closer of the morning show at The Paley Center for Media Presents True Crime, the ID Way in NYC. The journalist prefers covering crimes for the cable network Investigation Discovery. “It makes me feel real,” says Tamron, whose sister was murdered in 2004 (the case remains unsolved). “It doesn’t make me feel like I’m in some fake bubble of a life.” She adds that she gets recognized more for her work on ID than she ever did for Today. “I was in Colombia and all these women kept saying, ‘Crime Lady, Crime Lady!’ ” she recalls with a laugh. “I felt like black Angie Dickinson!”
