We Want Another Baby

LIFE IS SO SWEET FOR THE FIXER UPPER COUPLE, THEY’RE TALKING ABOUT EXPANDING THEIR FAMILY ONE LAST TIME

Parenting comes as naturally to Chip and Joanna Gaines as fixing up an old home. Though it had been eight years since they last had a newborn around the house, the pair looked like old pros as they showed off their adorable new son, Crew, born in June. “He is a gift,” gushes Joanna, 40, who admits that even with five kids they may not be done!

Chip worries that the age gap between Crew and his older siblings is too big for him to feel part of the gang. “Don’t be surprised if number six is in the cards!” confides Chip, 44. “I think we have to have another one because I am particular about the only child thing. Crew needs a [little] sister.” Joanna is on board, too. “I love the process of being pregnant,” she says. “I love giving birth. It is the sweetest.”

The Waco, Texas, couple’s older children, Drake, 13, Ella, 12, Duke, 10, and Emmie, 8, wouldn’t mind either. They have been cheerfully helping out with baby Crew. “They are obsessed with him. A FULL PLATE

Their family isn’t the only thing keeping them busy. Although the final episode of Fixer Upper aired last spring, Joanna has been making the talk show rounds for her new book, Homebody: A Guide to Creating Spaces You Never Want to Leave. The couple also continue to run their renovation company as well as a number of other businesses. And a return to TV, like another baby, is not out of the question.
