Meghan Markle hoped to throw a big celebration for her son Archie’s first birthday on May 6, but now she has settled on a small party for three. “She’s having cupcakes with animals on them made for the occasion,” says a royal insider. “Archie has a great love for animals!”
Despite the pandemic that is keeping Meghan, 38, Archie and Prince Harry, 35, home, the trio have been adjusting well to California. “One of the things they love most about their new home is that they can play in the garden with Archie,” reveals the insider. “He’s walking now and their house is gated and private. The sunny climate is a far contrast from what they were used to in Canada and London!”
A DIFFERENT DIRECTION
Since settling in LA, Meghan and Harry have been working on a new routine as a family. Most days, the couple rise early, around 6:30 a.m., to have breakfast with Archie followed by a workout together. “Meghan’s teaching Harry yoga,” says the insider. “He wasn’t into it at first, but now he can do a headstand!”
Since leaving behind the duties of full-time royals, the pair have been exploring ways to support themselves while continuing to be of service to others. They’re developing a new charitable foundation, Archewell, that will include a multimedia educational empire and well-being website. Hollywood has also been calling on the former Suits actress. “Meghan’s been flooded with acting offers — everything from commercials to reality shows,” says the insider. “Once the pandemic is over, we’ll be seeing a lot more of Meghan and Harry.” —
