In this remake of Alfred Hitchcock’s Oscar-winning thriller, Lily James stars as a young newlywed who, after moving into her husband’s (Armie Hammer) grand estate, finds herself tormented by his late wife’s shadow. “She’s really bullied and gas lighted,” says Lily of her character. “She lives in a difficult headspace. I kept having panic attacks after [filming ended].” Kristin Scott Thomas plays sinister housekeeper Mrs. Danvers.
