October 24, 1951- September 21, 2018Salvat­ore J. Calabro, 67, of East Haven, passed away Friday, September 21, 2018 at Connecticu­t Hospice with his family by his side. Salvatore was born in Bridgeport, CT on October 24, 1951, to the late Joseph and Jean ( Brunetto) Calabro. He attended Kolbe High School in Bridgeport and graduated in 1969. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science from Georgetown University in Washington, DC and obtained a Masters Degree in Psychology from The Wilson Center in Minneapoli­s, MN. Salvatore practiced adolescent psychology for a number of years until returning to Connecticu­t to serve as Executive Vice President of Calabro Cheese Corporatio­n, a family owned business since 1953 located in East Haven, CT.

He is survived by his loving sister Rita A. Calabro, MD, her husband Christophe­r Carroll, his nephews and niece: Connor, Christian, Cameron, and Charlotte Calabro Carroll of Falls Church, VA; his devoted cousins Frank and Rose Angeloni and their children Elliot ( Erica) and family, Sara ( Jason) Estrom and family, and Sr. Airman Michael Angeloni all of North Branford; his aunt Millie Angeloni; and several live long supportive friends.

Funeral from the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford, Tuesday at 9: 30 a. m., for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Church, Branford at 10: 00 a. m. Entombment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum, North Haven. Visiting hours will be Monday evening from 4: 00 p. m. - 8: 00 p. m. For directions and online memorial see www. wsclancy. com.
