Margaret ( Marge) Tamas of Stratford passed away peacefully at St. Camillus Center in Stamford on Friday Sept 14, 2018.

Born in Shelton December 2, 1916 she lived to the age of 101. Margaret was predecease­d by her parents, Rudolph and Margaret Stomp ( who both emigrated to the US from Hungary), her son Gary, husband Stephen, three sisters ( Irene, Barbara, Elizabeth), and brother Rudolph.

She is survived by one son, Robert Tamas ( Lorraine) of Stratford; four grandchild­ren, Derak Tamas ( Brenda) of Hepbizibah, Georgia, Jody Logo ( Richard) of New Fairfi eld, Kate Temple ( Shawn) of Cheshire and Stephen Tamas of Lafayette, Colorado. She is also survived by seven great- grandchild­ren, Ryan, Justin and Kaitlyn Tamas, Nicholas and Ariana Logo, Sarah and Sydney Temple; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Margaret was an avid golfer well into her eighties. She kept up with technology having a Facebook account and banking online at the age of 100. She enjoyed reading, painting and doing many forms of creative stitchery. Margaret was a homemaker and licensed hairdresse­r and enjoyed cutting and styling hair for her family and friends. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends where her laughter could be heard above the group. Margaret enjoyed life to the end and will be missed by family and friends.
