Marge Kertes Suta

Marge Kertes Suta, age 89, widow of Robert Suta, and lifelong Bridgeport resident, left this earth on Sept. 20, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Center in Trumbull. Born in Astoria, NY on April 17, 1929 she grew up in the Hungarian section of Black Rock.

Her early years in Black Rock began her love of the beach at St. Mary’s and Seaside Park. She worked at Pepperidge Farms in Norwalk for 20 years.

Her most enjoyable times were spent with her family, playing bingo, poker or cooking Sunday dinner. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her mother Jennie Kazvinsky Connelly, and siblings, James, Russell and Joyce Connelly.

A loving wife, godmother, sister, auntie and friend, her talent for cooking will be missed by all who knew her. Holidays will never be the same without her famous Potato Salad and Yum Yum cake.

Survivors include her sister- inlaw, Shirley Connelly of Fairfield, nieces Sharon Connelly of Fairfield, Maureen ( Carl) Barone of Trumbull, Crystal ( Jamie) Smith of Ansonia; nephews Russell ( Patty) Connelly of Shelton and James Connelly of Jacksonville, FL; many great- nieces and nephews and best friend Liz Downing. Marge had a special love for her many German Shepards, all named Kimmie, and Maltese dogs, Nico and Nicole.

Her voice was as deep as the ocean, and her heart was as big as the universe. We’ll miss you forever Auntie Margie. “Until we meet again”.

Private services will be held. The family would like to thank the nursing staff at St. Joseph’s Center 3rd Floor AB for their compassionate care, especially Elenor, Romlin, Edith, Sylvia and Compassus Hospice Care.
