Seymour Realtor utilizes virtual tours, social media, direct mail

As a single mom with two children, Lori Miko initially got into real estate in 2001 on a part- time basis to supplement her income. But as her career quickly took off, it didn’t take long before she left her full- time job to pursue real estate as a full- time career.

She was named “Agent of the Year” by her office in her very first year. She has since garnered numerous sales achievemen­t awards, most recently the Coldwell Banker Diamond Society Award.

For Miko, it is important that her clients know that real estate is not just a job for her.

“My goal truly is what their goal is,” Miko said. “It is not just a transactio­n but more of a relationsh­ip. Working with my clients to help them through their purchase or sale and beyond is what I do.”

It is this commitment that sets her apart.

“I distinguis­h myself with my dedication to client satisfacti­on during and after the transactio­n,” Miko said. “My service does not end when the transactio­n closes. After the transactio­n, I continue to keep in touch with clients and be a trusted adviser for them. I also have an assistant who is a licensed Realtor, so there is always someone available.”

For Miko, helping clients solve their real estate needs and the friendship­s that often develop with her clients are the most rewarding part of being a Realtor.

Miko takes advantage of her company’s extensive and ongoing training to stay on top of market and industry informatio­n and to find the best ways to serve her clients. To generate listing exposure, she utilizes all the

major real estate websites such as Realtor. com, Trulia, Zillow, HomeSnap and Boost, along with her personal and company website.

She also takes advantage of social media marketing, direct mail, virtual tours and email marketing. Personal networking and her own database of contacts are also part of her marketing mix.

An active member of the real estate community, she is a past board member for the Valley Board of Realtors, holds the Profession­al Standards Designatio­n and is a Real Estate Continuing Education Instructor.
