In 1995, when the owners of this stately brick colonial were looking for a new construction home, they selected a small, intimate development in desirable Fairfield Chase.
“We had our choice of lots and floor plans and chose a spacious, open floor plan and a lot with a central location backing up to wooded open space with awesome views in a real neighborhood for families,” the owner described. “The location offers something special in every season of the year. There are gorgeous views from the front overlooking over the hills. In the back we are surrounded by mature landscaping, open space and a stone wall.
The 1.12- acre setting enjoys natural beauty and privacy yet was still accessible for commuting to New York City for work. The location also offered an abundance of outdoor activity options close by.
“We love to hike, walk, and bike on the trails and back roads out here,” said the owner. “We also enjoy snow shoeing in the open space behind us. We were the go- to spot for sledding on snow days as the neighborhood kids loved our front lawn.”
In the warmer months, the heated inground pool provides countless hours of summer enjoyment surrounded by lush landscaping that makes the backyard feels like a private hideaway.
