Giovanni “John” Conforti

Giovanni “John” Conforti age 58, of Bridgeport, passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 in Yale New Haven Hospital. Born in Bridgeport on January 12, 1962 to Teresa Mariconda Conforti and the late Santo Conforti and lived in both Stratford and Bridgeport all his life. John was a gentle giant and a lover of life. He enjoyed his family, fishing, collecting sea glass, and time near the water. John was a kind and giving person who has touched the hearts of many, he will be missed forever. He was an active member at Bridgehouse, a nonprofit organization in Bridgeport. He volunteered working as a driver, a gardener, and a general handyman. Survivors, in addition to his mother Teresa, include his brother, Michael Conforti, his sister, Ida Carey and her husband Tim. He is also survived by his nieces Jessica Carey, Deanna Ritchie, and nephew Mackenzie Carey and their spouses, as well as several grand nieces and nephews. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 4, 2021 at 10: 00 a. m. in St. Mark Church, 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford. Everyone in attendance must follow the COVID- 19 guidelines, wear a mask and practice social distancing. Entombment will be Private.
