Thelma V. Bauer, age 87, of Shelton, entered into rest on Thursday, March 4, 2021. She is the devoted wife of Gordon Bauer. Thelma was born in East Pubnico, Nova Scotia, Canada on November 17, 1933, daughter of the late George and Thalia ( Larkin) Wyman. She came to Shelton in 1980 from Monroe, having previously lived in Norwalk. Thelma was a secretary with Wyrepak Industries before retirement, and she became active with the Friends of Shelton Libraries and the Shelton Senior Center. An avid reader and also enjoyed crossword puzzles. She is the beloved mother of Robert Betts and his wife Sandra, Stephen Betts, and Karen Betts. She also leaves five cherished grandchild­ren, Tessa- Rose Betts, Ronald Meeker, Stephen Betts, Shelby Valentin, and Danielle Parks, six great- grandchild­ren, Madison Rose, Jaxon, Mason, Dante, Cooper, and Connor, a brother, Charles Wyman, two sisters, Barbara Betts and Clara Cooke, and several nieces and nephews. Thelma was predecease­d by her first husband, Frank Betts, and three brothers, Clive, George, and Paul Wyman.

Due to the covid pandemic, friends are invited to view a livestream of her funeral service at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at 11 AM at www. riverviewf­h. com.
