Michael V. Sheehan

-

Michael Vincent Sheehan, age 38 of Dunkirk, New York, entered into eternal rest on Friday, March 12, 2021 following a long battle with addiction. Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut on December 26, 1982, he was the son of Gail ( Cavaliere) Sheehan and the late Barry Michael Sheehan. As a child, Mike was an ice hockey player by day, and a tap dancer by night. Mike was a graduate of Trumbull High School in 2001, a year Mike and his two sisters, Jessica and Sarah, both attended the same high school. At this time, he traded his lifelong passion of ice hockey with golf, and he reached pro- golfer status in Florida just before his first son, Patrick Barry, was born. Mike moved to New York to help raise his three sons alongside their amazing mother, Stacey Bellando Sheehan, the Three “P’s”: Patrick, Parker, and Paxton, whom he adored until the day he passed. Mike/ Mikey/ Mick/ She- Unit was known for his infectious laugh, dance moves, and big hugs. We will remember Mike as he was during that time of his life.

Survivors include his mother, Gail Sheehan and partner, Francis Sapia, his smart, kind, and beautiful three sons; Patrick, Parker, and Paxton Sheehan, his sisters; Jessica Sheehan and Sarah Sheehan and their partners, Ryan Gere and Shawn Joy, his grandmother, Edith “Nana” Sheehan, his uncles; Ricky Cavaliere and his wife Kathi, Vincent Cavaliere ( his godfather) and his wife Peggy, and Billy Sheehan and his wife Natalie, and countless cousins and best friends too numerous to mention. He was predeceased by his father, Barry Sheehan, his grandfathers; Robert “Pop”/” Hooker” Sheehan, Vincent “Poppy” Cavaliere, and grandmother, Millie “Nana” Cavaliere, and his uncles; Bobby and Jimmy Sheehan. The family extends their sincerest gratitude to the nurses, doctors, and social worker, Alicia, at UPMC Hamot in Erie, Pennsylvania for all they did to help Michael stay in this world a little longer and find peace on Earth; we can only pray that he has finally found his peace.

Friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service on Saturday, April 10, 2020 at 11: 00 a. m. in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 1056 Daniels Farm Rd., Trumbull. Michael was always passionate about his boys. The family asks that if you are so moved you may make a contribution to benefit his children. Please make checks payable to their grandmother, Gail Sheehan and address your gift to Children of M. Sheehan, c/ o Parente- Lauro Funeral Home, 559 Washington Ave., Bridgeport CT 06604.
