Eftychia Bolovinos

Eftychia (Mavronas) Bolovinos, age 88 of Stratford, loving wife of 43 years to the late Konstantinos Bolovinos, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 14, 2020 surrounded by her three daughters. Born in Corfu, Greece on January 20, 1932, she was the daughter of Nikolaos and Ioanna Mavronas. She married Costas Bolovinos in 1958 and came to the US. Her biggest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed spending summers in Corfu at her country home. She was a devout Christian in the Greek Orthodox Faith. She will be most remembered for her larger than life personality and loving nature.

Eftychia leaves behind her three daughters, Kira (Tom) Savarese, Joanna (Mark) Elsasser and Sofia (Deacon Anastasios) Hallas, her beloved grandchildren, Gikas, Dina, Daniel, Thomas, Effie, George and Alex. She was predeceased by her beloved daughter Helen Vidalis.

Friends are invited to go directly to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 4070 Park Avenue, Bridgeport on Friday, December 18, 2020 at 11 a.m. where the Rite of Burial will be officiated by Father Georgios Livaditis with interment immediately following in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport. Calling hours will be held on Friday morning from 9:30 until time of service in the church. The Commerce Hill Funeral Home, 4798 Main Street, Bridgeport has been entrusted with the services.
