-

Kenneth A. Mitchell, age 70, passed away on December 11, 2020. He grew up in Shelton, CT and was raised by the late Helen Turner and Richard Outlaw.

Ken retired as a Local 210 Union Carpenter/Millwright and was a man of many talents. He crafted beautiful pieces of furniture out of any wood he received. His favorite pastime activity was playing horseshoes competitively and he belonged to the Valley Horseshoe League. Ken also loved nature and he was always found fishing, hunting, or hiking in the woods. If he was not out in nature, Ken was rooting for his beloved New York Yankees or New York Giants.

He is survived by his daughter Michelle Mitchell. Ken considered his greatest accomplishment to be Michelle and was always extremely proud of her. He was an amazing father and friend to those who were in his life. Ken’s heart was made of gold and he always took great care of anyone who crossed his path.

Thank you to the staff at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT, the staff at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Stafford Springs, CT, and the staff at Genesis Health
