John “Jay Jay” William Biehn III, 45, of Milford passed away peacefully on December 17, 2020. John was born in Bremerton, WA on May 22, 1975, a son of the late John W. (Jay) Biehn Jr. and Michelle (Souza) Biehn. John proudly served in the United States Army during which he served in the 344th Military Police Company. After returning home, John met and married his loving wife, Kimberly Kaimer Biehn. John and Kimberly ultimately settled in Milford. John was a graduate of Lyman Hall High School in Wallingfor­d and The Northeaste­rn Joint Apprentice­ship (NEAT). John was also a proud member of the CT Freemasons Fayette Lodge #69.

John was a skilled and accomplish­ed Journeyman Lineman for IBEW Local 42, and was currently working in the IBEW Local 1249 in New York. John was previously employed by the City of Bridgeport Police Department. John was a loving and devoted husband and father, who enjoyed spending time with his family. Aside from his family, John’s passions included being a rabid fan of the Oakland Raiders (yes, even the Las Vegas ones), the Boston Red Sox, scuba diving, and the allure of sandy beaches along the ocean.

John will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Kimberly, sons, Jacob and Derek Biehn of Naugatuck, stepdaught­er Shelby Vinhais of Milford, sister, Krystle Dietrichse­n of Florida, nephew Collin Dietrichse­n, multiple brother and sister-in-laws, aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as countless friends. John is predecease­d by his parents, maternal grandparen­ts Anthony “Poppy” Souza and Joyce “Nanny” Rediker, and paternal grandparen­ts Dr. and Mrs. John Biehn Sr.

John’s family would like to thank all who have reached out in support including family and friends, as well as the extended Bridgeport Police Department family and the IBEW brotherhoo­d. John was so much fun to be around and his guests were always guaranteed to have the best time in his company. He will be forever missed by all those who knew and loved him.

A memorial service with military honors will be held at a later date due to the COVID virus & health safety for all. New Britain Memorial & Donald D.
